In the 1980's, I was struck by the sameness of alphabets for needlework. At the same time, I saw the incredible variety of alphabets available to printers and graphic artists. Why should they have all the fun?!! The majority of my work is as a commission artist, so I needed a variety of alphabets that would allow me a wide range of lettering possibilities.
That's when ALPHABET SOUP was born.
